Zach McClellan pitching well out of the bullpen for the Colorado Rockies
The Rockies weren’t expecting much when they called up 28 year old rookie Zach McClellan to fill up a bullpen spot. The Rockies pen has been decimated by injury so it almost seems like McClellan has been pitching almost every day since he was called up from the minors. He doesn’t have a record yet but he has a sharp 2.70 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. In his first 10 innings of his major league career, McClellan has allowed 12 hits, walked 3 batters and whiffed 11. If he keeps pitching like this for the Rockies he’s sure to get a lot of work.
