The Colorado Rockies finished the first half of the season with a 44-44 record which has them in 4th place in the National League West, only 5.5 games behind the Padres.  The Rockies are also only 4 games behind the Dodgers for the Wild Card spot.  The Rockies have played so well because of their hitting.  They are leading the National League in hitting at .277 and they are third in both runs scored (428) and OPS (.773) in the N.L.  The Rockies will likely be on the hunt for relief pitching at the trade deadline if they are still in the race in a couple of weeks.
