The Rockies swept the D-Backs out of the series with good all-around play.  Matt Holliday had another great night and he was 2 for 4 with 1 run scored, a homer and 3 RBIs.  Kazuo Matsui also had another decent game as he was 1 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI.  Seth Smith got another huge hit as he pinch hit for Franklin Morales in the 4th inning and he delivered with a single that plated 2 runs.  It took guts for Manager Clint Hurdle to pull Morales who was pitching well and to pinch hit with the rookie Smith so he deserves big time credit for that crucial move.

Franklin Morales worked the first 4 innings and he allowed 5 hits, 1 earned run, walked 1 batter and whiffed 2.  Matt Herges followed Morales in the game and he was the winning pitcher as he worked 2 scoreless innings.  Brian Fuentes only pitched 2/3 of an inning and he allowed 4 hits, 3 earned runs and whiffed a batter.  Manny Corpas had to come in early to save the win.  He worked the last 1.1 innings and he allowed 1 hit and whiffed 1 batter.  The Rockies sweep the Diamondbacks 4-0.
