The Colorado Rockies re-sign Matt Herges
The Rockies have re-signed Matt Herges to a 1-year contract with an option for 2009. He pitched well in middle relief for the Rockies last season as he worked in 35 games and he was 5-1 with a 2.96 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. Herges has had a solid major league career as he’s worked in 479 games (4 starts) and he is 37-30 with 34 saves, a 3.82 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. This was a good move for the Rockies as Herges really pitched good for them last year.
