The Rockies have re-signed catcher Yorvit Torrealba to a 2 year contract. Torrealba deserved the raise he got based on his post season play which helped drive them to the World Series. Torrealba played in 113 games last season for the Rockies and he was 101 for 396 (.255 avg, .699 OPS) with 47 runs scored, 8 homers and 47 RBIs. He also worked magic with the pitching staff last season which was much improved. He has now played in 440 games in his major league career and he is 334 for 1,332 (.251 avg, .704 OPS) with 160 runs scored, 30 homers and 173 RBIs.
