Starting 1B Todd Helton is the ony infielder on the Rockies over the age of 30 in the starting lineup. He had a great bounceback season for the Rockies playing in 151 games in which he was 177 for 544 (.325 avg, .905 OPS) with 79 runs scored, 15 homers and 86 RBIs. The Rockies hope he plays better in the post season this time around. He has played in 11 games in his post season career and he is 9 for 41 (.220 avg, .615 OPS) with 6 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Clint Barmes moved over to 2B this season and he had a solid year there. He played in 154 games for the Rockies this season and he was 133 for 550 (.245 avg, .734 OPS) with 69 runs scored, 23 homers, 76 RBIs and 12 stolen bases. He is a good defensive player as he is a natural shortstop. This will be Barmes’ first post season experience of his career. Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki had a monster season for the Rockies this year. He played in 151 games for the Rockies this season and he was 161 for 543 (.297 avg, .829 OPS) with 101 runs scored, 32 homers, 92 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. He has played in 11 games in his post season career to date and he is 8 for 41 (.195 avg, .608 OPS) with 3 runs scored, 1 homer and 3 RBIs. 3B Ian Stewart bumped Garrett Atkins out of the starting lineup this season. He played in 147 games for the Rockies this year and he was 97 for 425 (.228 avg, .786 OPS) with 74 runs scored, 25 homers, 70 RBIs and 7 stolen bases. He has never played in the post season.
