Andres Galarraga made his mark with the Colorado Rockies
Andres “The Big Cat” Galarraga only played five years with the Rockies but he put up some staggering numbers. He played in 679 games for the Rockies in which he was 843 for 2,667 (.316 avg, .944 OPS) with 476 runs scored, 172 homers, 579 RBIs and 55 stolen bases. Galarraga led the N.L. in homers (47) and RBIs (150) during the 1996 season for the Rockies. He also led the National League in RBIs again in 1997 with 140. Despite only playing five years for the Rockies, Galarraga is #6 all-time in hits, #6 in runs scored, #5 in homers, #5 in RBIs and #7 in stolen bases in team history. Sure his numbers were put up pre-Humidor but they are impressive nonetheless.
