The Colorado Rockies are in great shape at SS for 2010

25-year old righty swinging Troy Tulowitzki is coming off the best season of his career and the Rockies expect him to keep up the good work in 2010. Tulowitzki played in 151 games for the Rockies last season and he was 161 for 543 (.297 avg, .929 OPS) with 101 runs scored, 32 homers, 92 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. I look for Tulowitzki to make a run for the MVP Award in the N.L. this season if he can just remain healthy in 2010. Tulowitzki is also a very good defensive shortstop as he made only 9 errors in 151 games there while showing good range.

28-year old lefty swinging Omar Quintanilla will likely backup Tulo at SS in 2010. He played in 13 games at SS for the Rockies last season and he only made 1 error while showing out of this world range.

30-year old righty swinging Clint Barmes would probably slide over to SS from 2B if Tulowitzki got injured. He played in 16 games at SS for the Rockies last season making only 1 error and showing outstanding range.

PROJECTED GRADE FOR THE SS IN 2010: A
