Lefty starter Jorge De La Rosa and righty reliever Rafael Betancourt are both throwing darts so far this year. De La Rosa has started 1 game this season, which he won, by working 7 shutout innings allowing only 1 hit and 1 walk while whiffing 9 batters! De La Rosa is hoping to build off his breakout season in 2009 and it looks like he will. Betancourt is one of the top set-up men in all of baseball and he is showing why so far this season. In 3 games for the Rockies, Betancourt has pitched in 3 innings allowing only 1 hit while whiffing 5. When Huston Street gets back from injury the back end of the Rockies’ pen is going to be outstanding once again.
