Giambi played in 83 games last season for the Rockies and he was 43 of 176 (.244 avg, .776 OPS) with 17 runs scored, 6 homers, 35 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. He has now played in 2,039 games in his first 16 years in the majors and he is 1,914 of 6,801 (.281 avg, .928 OPS) with 1,176 runs scored, 415 homers, 1,365 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. Giambi will likely have the same role with the Rockies that he had in 2011 providing them with a thumper off the bench.
