Jonathan Herrera is making the most of his P.T. with the Colorado Rockies
With Ian Stewart and Jose Lopez off to very slow starts, 26-year old switch-hitting Jonathan Herrera has gotten a lot of P.T. at 2B and he’s making the most of it. Herrera has played in 21 games for the Rockies so far this year and he is 21 for 70 (.300 avg, .830 OPS) with 10 runs scored, 1 homer, 5 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. Herrera is also showing an outstanding eye at the plate as he has walked 16 times already this year while whiffing 8 times. I have a feeling that Herrera might just get to keep his starting job as long as his bat doesn’t slow down.
