The Rockies have lost 26-year old switch-hitting 2B Jonathan Herrera for the rest of the season due to a fractured right index finger. Herrera played in 104 games for the Rockies this year and he was 68 for 281 (.242 avg, .612 OPS) with 28 runs scored, 3 homers, 14 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. He has now played in 208 games in his first three years with the Rockies and he is 145 for 564 (.257 avg, .639 OPS) with 67 runs scored, 4 homers, 38 RBIs and 7 stolen bases. This is a bad break for Herrera.
