30-year old righty swinging 3B Kevin Kouzmanoff will become a free agent as soon as he clears waivers. Kouzmanoff played in 27 games for the Rockies this year and he was 25 for 98 (.255 avg, .713 OPS) with 11 runs scored, 3 homers and 16 RBIs. He has now played in 672 games in his first six years in the majors and he is 633 for 2,478 (.255 avg, .720 OPS) with 265 runs scored, 85 homers, 361 RBIs and 6 stolen bases. The Rockies won’t look to bring back Kouzmanoff in 2012, even if he offers to come back cheap.
