The Rockies have claimed 27-year old righty swinging outfielder Jamie Hoffman off waivers from the division rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Hoffman played in 2 games for the Dodgers last year and he was 0 for 4 (.000 avg, .000 OPS). He also played in 133 games in AAA-ball for the Dodgers last year and he was 141 of 475 (.297 avg, .853 OPS) with 91 runs scored, 22 homers, 84 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. Hoffman has now played in 16 games in his first two years in the majors and he is 4 for 26 (.154 avg, .489 OPS) with 2 runs scored, 1 homer and 7 RBIs.
