The Rockies went 1-2 against the Astros last weekend as they were outscored by a combined score of 13-10. The Rockies only hit .198 with a .611 OPS over the weekend against the Astros. Michael Cuddyer was 5 for 12 (.417 avg, 1.250 OPS) with 1 run scored, 1 homer, 2 RBIs and 1 stolen base to lead the way for the Rockies with the bat so far this year. Tyler Colvin was 2 for 6 (.333 avg, .667 OPS) against the Astros. Cuddyer & Colvin are the only two Rockies with a .250+ batting average entering this week. The Rockies have gotten solid starting pitching so far this year as Jeremy Guthrie, Jamie Moyer and Juan Nicasio were a combined 1-1 with a 3.32 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. Rafael Betancourt saved the Rockies’ first win this year but it wasn’t easy as he gave up a hit and walked a batter in a scoreless inning. The Rockies will now host the San Francisco Giants the next few days.
