The Rockies have placed 26-year old righty swinging infielder Chris Nelson on the 15-day disabled list due to a left wrist injury. Nelson has played in 24 games for the Rockies so far this year and he is 16 for 73 (.210 avg, .601 OPS) with 4 runs scored, 0 homers, 7 RBIs and 1 stolen base. Nelson has now played in 104 games in his first three years in the majors and he is 68 for 278 (.245 avg, .644 OPS) with 31 runs scored, 4 homers, 23 RBIs and 5 stolen bases. Nelson might benefit from a little break as he has not hit the ball well at all this year.
