Lefty reliever Bruce Ruffin pitched in the live ball era with the Rockies and he did a pretty solid job for them. He pitched in 246 games (12 starts) in five years with the Rockies and he was 17-18 with 60 saves, a 3.84 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP. His best year came back in 1996 with the Rockies, when he pitched in 71 games (0 starts) in which he was 7-5 with 24 saves, a 4.00 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP. Ruffin only gave up 55 hits in 69 2/3 innings while whiffing 74 batters in 1996. Ruffin is #4 in saves (60) and #9 in games pitched (246) in Rockies’ history.
