26-year old lefty swinging 1B/OF Tyler Colvin has been killing the baseball so far in July. He has played in 5 games so far this month for the Rockies and he is 8 for 23 (.348 avg, 1.462 OPS) with 5 runs scored, 5 homers and 10 RBIs. Colvin has now played in 63 games for the Rockies this year and he is 56 for 180 (.311 avg, .983 OPS) with 26 runs scored, 13 homers, 40 RBIs and 1 stolen base. The Rockies are going to have to look for more ways to get Colvin in the lineup and that will likely start to cost Todd Helton P.T. in the second half of the season.
