The Colorado Rockies lose Juan Nicasio for the rest of the season
25-year old righty starting pitcher Juan Nicasio will miss the rest of the 2012 season due to surgery on his left knee. Nicasio pitched in 11 games (all starts) for the Rockies in 2012 and he was 2-3 with a 5.28 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP. He has now pitched in 24 games (all starts) in his first two years with the Rockies and he is 6-7 with a 4.65 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. This is just another blow to the Rockies’ starting rotation, which has been pretty awful so far this year.
