Wilin Rosario has been impressive this year for the Colorado Rockies
23-year old righty swinging Wilin Rosario took advantage of Ramon Hernandez being banged up this year, as he has taken over as the Rockies’ starting catcher and that will continue into 2013 and likely beyond that. Rosario has played in 99 games for the Rockies so far this year and he is 83 of 326 (.255 avg, .820 OPS) with 57 runs scored, 24 homers, 62 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Since August 1st, Rosario has played in 32 games in which he is 30 for 105 (.286 avg) with 23 runs scored, 8 homers and 22 RBIs. Rosario appears to have a bright future with the Rockies.
