The Colorado Rockies have placed 23-year old righty swinging SS Trevor Story on the 15-day disabled list due to a torn UCL in his left thumb.  He is done for the season.  This is a huge blow for the surging Rockies.  Story played in 97 games in his rookie season for the Rockies and he was 101 of 372 (.272 avg, .909 OPS) with 67 runs scored, 27 homers, 72 RBIs and 8 stolen bases.  At the time of his injury, Story was leading the National League with his 27 homers.  He is also currently #5 in SLG (.567), #10 in OPS (.909), #6 in runs scored (67) and he is #5 in RBIs (72) in the National League right now.  29-year old lefty swinging Daniel Descalso and 25-year old Cristhian Adames will share SS for the Rockies the rest of the way in 2016.  Descalso has played in 50 games so far this year for the Rockies and he is 33 of 103 (.320 avg, .855 OPS) with 19 runs scored, 2 homers, 21 RBIs and 1 stolen base.  Adames has played in 73 games for the Rockies so far this year and he is 21 of 113 (.186 avg, .552 OPS) with 9 runs scored, 1 homer, 8 RBIs and 1 stolen base.
