Michael Cuddyer is red hot at the plate for the Colorado Rockies right now

34-year old righty swinging RF/1B Michael Cuddyer is on fire at the plate right now for the Colorado Rockies.  Cuddyer has a 27-game hitting streak going on right now.  He has played in 62 games overall this year for the Rockies and he is 84 for 244 (.344 avg, .983 OPS) with 38 runs scored, 14 homers, 48 RBIs and 6 stolen bases.  It’s amazing to me that as hot as Cuddyer has been, he’s still not even half way to Joe DiMaggio’s all-time record of a 56-game hitting streak.  That being said, the Rockies need Cuddyer to keep raking at the plate.

28-year old righty swinging SS Troy Tulowitzki and 34-year old righty swinging RF Michael Cuddyer are off to smoking hot starts with the bats in 2013 for the Rockies.  The Rockies need both of these guys to stay healthy if they are going to be a legit contender in the N.L.
